This is a compact, popular evergreen, shrub with white, pitcher-like (a bit like Pieris), flowers in May, and deep scarlet-red foliage in late summer. It needs mildly acid soil in sun or light shade and some attention to watering in very dry conditions. Doesnt mind clay or boggy soil If you don thave aciud soil use a lot of peat.
